I arrived at Stansted airport at 04:30 on Thursday morning (barley 75 hours since my return last week) - and as I walked into Departures The Logical Song was playing - I have not heard Scooter in a public place like this for a long time - I thought maybe I was still sleeping - but no - it was real, so I thought it was maybe a good omen for the trip I was in Hamburg by 10:30 in the morning, had a walk around then went to the hotel at lunch time, I met Kultkeks (Marina) and Bjarke on Thursday, we were staying at the same hotel. On Friday we took a bus trip across Hamburg in the morning, then Marina and ! went shopping. Tony and PJ from France arrived in the evening; they were also staying at the same hotel. We all went to a bar for a drink that evening, then to eat, and later out to have a great time. We went to a club in Hamburg for an event that was organised by Julia, the webmaster at Scootertechno.com. I think we would have liked to stay out later - but as the concert was the next day we went back to the hotel at about 3:30. |

On Saturday morning we got up quite early,
and Christiane came to the hotel to find us all. We had a couple of things
to do in the morning, and went to the hall at about 12:30 It was very
cold with some snow and rain, but we could wait under cover most of the
time so could stay dry. I also located the MTG underwear from Oldenburg
- oh the embarrassment - to have your underwear travel around Germany
in a van (even if you never really wore it :)))) )
Although it was cold,
it was not so bad in the queue, as we were Scooter fans together. Met
Chris and Marcus in the queue - good to see you again guys. |

We
might be cold and wet - but we are still happy! - You can’t keep
Scooter fans down !!! |
|
Just before we were allowed into the hall we
found out some bad news for us - the first 10 meters in front of the stage
were for 'Children' only. This would not be so bad but in reality this
seemed to be anyone up to about 18 (and some who looked considerably older),
and most of them were taller than us.
The Show did not seem so good as others I have been to - the acoustics were not so good, there were not many security, the moderators were ....hmm well ...not the best I've seen (I mean - Harder Faster Scooter, and to be honest I didn’t really want to see their asses) and there did not seem to be the same atmosphere as at other concerts I have been to; I guess it did not help that people were free to come and go in front of us all the time, talking, smoking, and generally messing around. By about 10:00 I could almost feel the will to live leaving me - I was cold and bored, and just wanted to sleep - I had begun to doubt even Scooter could restore my energy .......but I was wrong ........... Within 2 seconds of the Scooter intro, Bjarke and I were joining in with the Intro, and it was great - the finally came alive. |

1. Intro (We like it Loud Tour) |

Scooter were great - we were on the side
where Jay was - he is great live - always looks happy, and so much energy,
I could not see Rick so well unfortunately, and as always H.P. was great. Scooter were fantastic - the energy was great - but it was over so very quickly - it was good to see Scooter in Hamburg again. After the show we went back to the hotel to shower and get changed,
then headed out again - a McDonalds, then |

It was a few great days - good company, good fun, good music, good shopping, good Eierpunch and of course great Scooter . (Thanks to Tony for the pictures in this last part). I spent Sunday walking around Hamburg and the markets with Marina - we were both very tired but had a good day. Although Scooter were the main reason for this trip, is was about much
more than that - it was a great trip all round - thanks to all of you
I met. Things have changed a lot in a year - from a nervous trip to
Berlin not knowing anyone - except of course Britt, without whom I don’t
think I would have had the courage to go, to great trip to Hamburg with
fun nights out, and a lot of new friends |
